Youth SurveyOver the past 6 months, an Armenian Youth Survey has been distributed to individuals and community organisations in Sydney. If you have not yet had a chance to complete the Survey, please contact us. We have received responses from over 200 young people and 6 organisations, and have discovered some interesting things. For example, many Armenian-Australian youth want more social events, and more forums where they can talk about their problems and issues freely and without being judged. While there are already many social, educational and cultural activities already taking place in our community, it appears that many of these activities are not meeting the needs of a large portion of our youth. In addition, our youth are longing for a sense of contribution and belonging. As one young Armenian-Australian put it: “I would like to see a place that Armenian youth can call home.” The AGBU Bridge of Harmony Youth Project seeks to address some of these needs.
